Designed for perfect tamping, the firstshot tamper delivers consistent and reproducible espresso quality from the very first shot. The firstshot tamper automatically centers itself on the portafilter upon placement, and its external spring applies defined pressure to the filter basket during tamping. The precisely manufactured linea bearing guarantees 100% flat tamping, regardless of hand position. Every time. The internal pressure regulation system only activates when the tamper base is in contact with the coffee grounds and the selected tamping pressure is reached. The dynamometric mechanism can be adjusted by changing the internal spring (5, 10, or 15 kg) to customize the tamping pressure to personal preference. The mechanism is designed so that the outer and inner springs do not interfere with each other, ensuring that the coffee grounds are always tamped with the same pressure, regardless of the fill level in the filter basket. Thanks to its high 20mm stroke and minimal base protrusion, this tamper is extremely versatile, easily accommodating both heavy overfills (high fill levels in a small portafilter basket) and underfills (low fill levels in a large basket). Designed in Germany, the tamper is manufactured with the utmost precision using high-quality materials. The choice of handle material allows for personalization or customization to match existing espresso equipment.
